The Copper County Sporting Arms store in the small New Mexico town of Silver City was rocked by an accidental shooting Tuesday November 21st.
As an employee of the popular sporting goods store in the small town of Silver City in sparsely populated southwestern New Mexico emptied a handgun they accidently shot a customer in the back.
Local police officials claim they are unused to investigating shhotings, but have so far been able to establish no foul play in what police believe was an unfortunate accident.
The unidentified customer was shot with a .45 handgun before being airlifted to a hospital in El Paso, Texas for emergency treatment; the victim of the shooting is reported to be in stable condition.
Police have sent details of the case to prosecutors for a decision on filing charges; the owners and employees of Copper County Sporting Arms have not made any statement regarding the shooting.
