Well know motor home brands produced by Gulf Stream Coach include names such as BT Cruiser and Conquest Class C and the company makes outstanding toy hauler brands that include Track and Trail and GSX.
Jim Shea had established a strong business in the mobile home manufacturing sector before he got into the recreational vehicle sector in 1983. His goal was always to produce top quality products in the areas of travel trailers and motor homes. The Gulf Stream Coach business model continued to expand throughout the 1990s as Jim Shea’s sons took the reigns of leadership with the company and continued to build on the success that their father had already established over the course of the 1980s.
Gulf Stream Coach now employs more than 1500 skilled workers. These workers have helped the company in the production of some 300 thousand vehicles for recreational purposes over the company’s long and distinguished history. The Shea family themselves are still known to be deeply involved in the business and in recreational vehicle culture in general. It is still common to see the family at major RV shows and they enjoy using their own vehicles that they manufacture for recreational activities such as camping. This is the sort of passion for these vehicles that have led to the company becoming such an icon within the recreational vehicle community.
