To start the season, the Houston Texans lost three straight games. Few people thought the team would make the playoffs after a slow start. However, the team won nine games in a row following the losing streak. The latest game featured a tough division matchup against the Colts.

Andrew Luck

When Andrew Luck was drafted out of Stanford, many people thought he would turn into an elite quarterback. Although he had to deal with various injuries, Luck is finally healthy this season. With a mediocre roster around him, Luck has made the Colts a solid team again.

The Colts still have a difficult path to make the playoffs. Going into the game against the Texans, few people thought the Colts would earn a victory.

Result

The Texans started the game with a touchdown drive. Some fans thought the team would blowout the Colts. After going back and forth for the entire game, the Colts had a key touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. The Colts took the lead late in the game and never gave it back. The Texans had a final chance to tie the score, but the team failed to score. The Colts were able to get the ball back and run out the clock.

Playoffs

This game had huge playoff implications for the entire AFC. The Texans currently lead a division, which automatically ensures the team a playoff spot. However, with the latest loss, the Colts and Titans are only two games back from the division lead. The Colts and Titans play in the final regular season game of the season. If the Texans continue losing, that game could determine which team wins the division.
